Our Christmas Spectacular is an extravaganza of non-stop singing, dancing, music, humour and variety. It’s a fast moving celebration of the festive season featuring an eclectic mix of both seasonal and year round favourites. With a cast of 130 this is the biggest Christmas show of its kind in Europe!
This is a very popular event and our U3A is running a coach trip for members for the matinee performance on Thursday 19 November 2026 so why not join us.
Our day will start with the coach departing from Thorley at 0945 and then going to the bus stop in Bridge Street before making our way to Thursford. We are aiming to arrive there about 1200-1215 giving plenty of time for a snack or light lunch and a look around the souvenir shops before taking our seats by 1345 ready for the show which lasts for 3 hours after which we will rejoin the coach for our return journey of approximately 2 hours.
Our group will all be seated together for the show and tickets will be given out on the coach. The cost including the show, the return coach journey and a driver’s gratuity is £71 per person. If you would like to join the trip:
- email Lesley to reserve a place/places. This will be will be confirmed to you.
- payment should then be made to this account - Bishops Stortford University/U3A, sort code 60-02-35, account number 67945651. Once payment has been received your seat is confirmed. If you cannot pay by bank transfer you can pay by cheque at the February meeting.
- you can either pay the full amount now (£71) or you can pay a deposit now (£30) and the balance (£41) by the 15 August.
- when emailing to request your place please advise whether you wish to join the coach at Thorley (back of Sainsburys) or Bridge Street.
